 World Happiness Report 2015:India ranked 117

The World Happiness Report is a  survey of the state of global happiness. The report was published by the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).  Leading experts across fields – economics, psychology, survey analysis, national statistics, health, public policy and more – describe how measurements of well-being can be used effectively to assess the progress of nations. The reports review the state of happiness in the world today and show how the new science of happiness explains personal and national variations in happiness.

1- Top five countries: Switzerland (1st), Iceland (2nd), Denmark (3rd), Norway (4th) and Canada (5th). 

2- Bottom five countries: Rwanda (154th), Benin (155th), Syria (156th), Burundi (157th) and Togo (158th).

3- India is ranked 117 below countries like Pakistan (81st), Bangladesh (109th), Ukraine (111th) and Iraq (112th).
