The second International Fleet Review (IFR) 2016:Vishakhapatnam

The International Fleet Review 2016 is being held at Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) from 4 to 8 February 2016.This is the second IFR to be held in India and the first on the East Coast. 


The objective behind this International Review, is to signal the Indian Navy’s emergence as a pre-eminent power that sets the agenda in the northern Indian Ocean.54 navies are participating in International Fleet Review (IFR) 2016.

The theme (motto) for IFR 2016 is ‘United through Oceans’. However, the overall theme of the this event is ‘Make in India’.

The list of participating navies includes the United States of America, China, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Canada, Russia, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, Peru, Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
